Missing Meals Has an Adverse Impact on Building Muscles
Anyone that has put himself/herself on a bodybuilding diet knows how difficult it is to stick with it. I'm not talking about falling off the wagon and getting a pizza or a bowl of chocolate ice cream. What I'm talking about is making sure that every meal and every calorie on the list is accounted for.
From personal experience I can say that the hardest thing about competing or even attaining a certain level of conditioning is without a doubt sticking with the diet.
So why is it so difficult? How hard can it be to stick to a plan? The answer is easy. Unless you do nothing all day but train and sleep you'll find that life happens! You have things to do, errands to run and work that has to be completed. You can't just pull out a can of tuna during a presentation and start munching on it. The point is often the day gets away from you.
Regardless, those meals can't be missed! Here's what John Meadows top nationally ranked NPC bodybuilder had to say; "Missing one meal in a day will most likely eliminate any positive results for the day derived from nutrition for the natural athlete." "You simply can't afford to skimp on nutrition." Missing a meal will most certainly place you into negative nitrogen balance and cause your body to revert to burning muscle as fuel.
Think about how hard you work at the gym. The notion of losing that hard earned musculature because of missed meals or supplements makes no sense. So, be prepared and be disciplined!
